About Ehsan Haeri

Ehsan Haeri is an Iranian poet, lyricist, educator, and creative director based in Canada. He is a founding member of the acclaimed music band Chaartaar, whose work has played a significant role in contemporary Persian music over the past decade.

His lyrics have reached hundreds of millions of listeners across digital platforms and have been performed in concerts for Persian-speaking audiences around the world. Alongside his professional career as a lyricist, Haeri has devoted years to the study of poetry, language, aesthetics, and the creative process.

His teaching combines literary insight with practical songwriting, helping students develop poetic perception, strengthen their creative voice, and understand both the artistic and structural dimensions of lyric writing. Rather than focusing solely on technique, his workshops encourage participants to discover an authentic artistic voice while cultivating a deeper understanding of language, imagination, and expression.

Haeri is also a member of SOCAN (The Society of Composers, Authors and Music Publishers of Canada) and continues to work across poetry, songwriting, music, and interdisciplinary artistic projects.
